Golf Hall of Famer Nick Price came out of Africa — and his oceanfront home in Jupiter Island, FL, has done much the same. The custom-built home is filled with woods from Africa which give the $21.9 million compound a worldly flair.
Originally from Zimbabwe, Price dominated the golf world in the mid-1990s, winning three majors and leading the PGA Tour money list twice. For 43 weeks, he was listed as No. 1 by the Official World Golf Ranking.
His five-bedroom, 14,659-square-foot home is “a compound,” says listing agent Adrian Reed of Fenton Lang & Bruner. “It’s its own world. It appeals to a family that wants to go on vacation or be on a destination and be all together.”
And with nearly 7 acres, the property offers plenty of room to spread out. The new buyers could play a game of cricket on the expansive lawn, relax by the pool, or enjoy dinner on the veranda.
The home has a seamless indoor-outdoor design, and buyers can feel the ocean breeze even while inside the home.
“You really feel transported to something special because of the indoor-outdoor living,” says Reed.
Most rooms open directly to the outside and offer gorgeous views of the ocean and mainland — and with the variety of exotic woods used to build the home, buyers might even feel like they’re about to head on a safari.
